Pentwater Winterfest

February 8th & 14th, 2026

A variety of activities occur over two weekends during February to make up Pentwater’s Winterfest. Included are fishing tournaments, cross country skiing, sledding, and ice skating.

Here's the most updated event schedule:

Saturday, February 8th, 2026

  • 7am – Annual Ryan Williams Perch Tournament – Registration is 7am-10am The fee is $10 per adult or $5 per child (15 or younger). 100% Cash and Prize payout for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes. The final weigh-in will be at Port View no later then 4pm. Weather permitting.
  • 11am-3pm – Free Cross Country Ski Day on the Crystal Valley Ski Trails in the Manistee National Forest. Free use of adult and children’s cross-country ski equipment on a first-come, first-served basis. Photo ID required to borrow equipment. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Saturday, February 14th, 2026

  • All Day – Specials & Deals at Downtown Pentwater Restaurants and Shops.
  • All Day – Ice Skating & Sledding on the Village Green- 327 S. Hancock St., Pentwater. Weather permitting.
  • 10am-1pm – Puzzle Contest at the Pentwater District Library- 402 Park St. Pre-registration is required by calling (231) 869-8561)
  • 11am – Snowman Scram 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run at Pentwater School- 600 E. Park St., Pentwater. $25 for Fun Run, $35 for 5k. Register at runsignup.com.
  • 1pm – Step Into a Story at Storybook Village- 560 S. Hancock St. At this free event, kids help bring stories to life with music, movement, puppets, and a craft.
  • 2-5pm – Cocoa, Corks, & Canvas in Downtown Pentwater. Tickets are $20 in advance(available at Green Isaac’s or Port View) & $25 at the door, minors are free with paid adult. Sample Cocoa and wine while seeing art at eight businesses. 
  • 7:30pm – Live music at the Village Pub- 347 S. Hancock St.
